SGT REMO RELEASES OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO “RASTAFARI WAY” April 3, 2014 marks the release date of Sgt Remo’s latest video titled Rastafari Way. This video is his latest music as featured in the Reggae SoulJahs Worldwide Vol 2 compilation album released in January, 2014 by Jah Yutes Entertainment. The video was directed by Jonathan Sims from No Reservations Productions (Albuquerque, NM). Rastafarian painter Ras Elijah Tafari served as art consultant for the video. The video was filmed in and around New Mexico and features murals and paintings from mural artists 360, Rel Ease, and Ras Elijah Tafari. One of the primary visual/artistic topics found in the video are the controversial Olmec heads found in Mexico. They are featured in several of the scenes throughout the video. The song takes the audience into Sgt Remo’s personal journey as he professes the strong influence the Rastafarian culture has had in his personal life. One of the most striking lines in the song states “Rasta to the bone and that me swear, no locks ‘pon mi head still I man no care…” Sgt Remo is a Mexican born Reggae artist born in the border town of Juarez, Mexico. He is a unique character. He doesn’t wear dreadlocks and is not of Caribbean decent. Still he has been successful in making a stir in the Reggae community recently with several successful releases under his belt. This is his third official music video following his two previous efforts titled Thunder & Lightning and No Man Stranded from his debut EP Life is for Living.
