*****SHADOWS FROM THE PAST***** EPISODE 38 “In you I have found a sister, a friend, a mother, a sister-in-law, a everything. You mean so much to me.” Atinuke dropped her pen. She has just finished updating her diary. She has grown to love Tina with the whole of her heart, she now puts Tina in high esteem and she couldn’t do anything without informing Tina before hand. Tina was responsible for settling the quarrel that ensued between her and Akin. Early the next day after the incident occured, Tina drove her down to Akin’s residence and trashed out things with him. Akin who has this aura of believing in himself later calmed down and apologised to the two ladies most especially his girlfriend. “In two days time, you’ll be a proud member of Douglas family but sadly in few years time I will drop the name and take up another man’s name but I’ll forever be a member by birth and you are still a part of me.” She wrote on the 25th of June. “Writer we are in Nigeria already.” Tina said to her. Atinuke raised her head up and smiled. The two ladies travelled to France, Paris to be precise to shop for Tina’s introduction ceremony in two days time. “How you feeling now that we’ve laded safely?” Atinuke asked as the two ladies walked out of the airport complex toward’s the parking lot where they’ll be picked up. “Much better.” Tina replied. Right from the time they entered the plane, Tina has been complaining of feeling somehow and she visited the restroom thrice what Atinuke called fear. Tina is not quite conversant with travelling by air in fact she has never travelled by air. She got the opportunity to travel by air when she started dating Raymond and this is her fourth time of such travels unlike Atinuke who travels by air more than most pilots. “Hello ladies.” Raymond called. “Sweet brother.” Atinuke ran to embrace her elder brother while Tina smiled. “Sweetheart how was your trip?” Raymond asked kissing her on the forehead. “Am still here o.” Atinuke announced. “Don’t be jealous.” Tina warned playfully. “No am not.. am just being…” She argued before she bursted into laughter. “I need to run now. you know. I have to be home this minute.” Tina said collecting her car key from one of Raymond’s driver who drove her Chrysler down to the airport. “I’ll miss you darling.” Raymond said. “See you on saturday.” Tina assured referring to the introduction day. “I’ll visit you tomorrow because I can’t go a day without seeing you.” Atinuke said hugging her. Tina hoped into her car after carefully arranging her stuffs in the back seat. “Drive safely.” Raymond adviced. She turned on the car stereo and carefully backed out the car and drove out of the airport towards her family house. Raymond and Atinuke hopped into the backseat of his Range rover as his driver drove them home. ALL THAT IS LEFT FOR HIM TO THINK OF IS HIS INTRODUCTION CEREMONY WHICH WILL HOLD IN TWO DAYS TIME. –to be continued–
