SHAKALAND (ZULU VILLAGE) TO DURBAN Today our Jemicy journeyers traveled from Shakaland (Zulu Village) to Durban. On the way they stopped at the Ohlange High School (the prep school and former college where Nelson Mandela cast his first vote in 1994. The morning included a demonstration of Zulu courtship (Noah volunteered to lead) and was followed by another huge breakfast. Lunch consisted Indian food! This was a tribute to the fact that South Africa holds the largest population of Indians outside of India, many of whom reside in Kwa-Zulu Natal, in which the city of Durban is located. Students went for a swim at the beach after the group arrived, They went to bed anticipating their first late morning tomorrow! Enjoy some “catch-up “ photos, attached!
