SHARING A FRIENDS THOUGHTS Assalamualaikum Sdr Radin Lizawi Radin Othman.First of all my Takziah.I read your posting herein with a lot of sympathetic introspection. Your ability to capture and chronicle in minute details those final days that you spent with your beloved Ayahanda shows just how much you love and remember him. The support & care which you rendered him during his lifetime particularly when he needed them most are testimony of his good upbringing of yourgood-self as well as your siblings.It is always after one had embarked upon his journey towards his Maker that we would feel the utmost pinch of ones absence .And only then would we be immersed in deep emotions and realized that we would terribly miss him or her so much.I supposed that was what happened to me when my dad passed away some 16 years ago.Your story here reminds me vividly of my own experience facing all the tormenting moments before my dad left us forever.He was diagnosed with a very advanced stage of liver cancer that had since metastasized..He was totally bedridden throughout then.The last six months before his demise seemed to be a period of endless agony...BUT there was somewhat a blessing in disguise. Most of the time for every day within that period we would be attending to him rendering our support with supplications to plead Allah AlMighty to give him and our family the cure and the strength .Despite the seemingly unbearable sight that we experienced while he was negotiating all the pains, we learned the true meaning of sacrifice,patience and courage and most of all, love and gratitude.These values sapped naturally more and more into us and brought our family members together even closer.We realized and it is an avowed truth among us that filial feeling of mutual love and respect for our parents and family members are so sublime...and must be imbued onto our offsprings as much as we can. Among all His countless bounties, we accepted that Allahs greatest gift is all and everything that you can find in a happy contented God-Abiding family called happiness which are beyond any worldly measure.!
