SHE BLAMED POVERTY TO HAVE RUINED HER FROM HAVING HER DREAM MARRIAGE #Episode 26! Prepared by: Charles Chanda RECAP FROM episode 25! She went to the tap, emptied the bowl, left it by the tap and went to hike. She stopped a car but unfortunately one of the elderly women who knew her very well saw her. This woman was actually going to visit at our sister’s home and when she got there , the mother to our sister told the elderly lady that her daughter’s was back from school. She was surprised as to why such a lie was being told when the girl had gone back. The mother to our sister unaware that her daughter was now miles away was waiting in vain. The old lady insisted that our sister was seen getting into a car and upon hearing this, her mother decided to follow.. She only found the bowl. She was so grieved and could not understand why things were happening like this. TODAY’S EPISODE THE WORDS PARENTS UTTER OUT WHEN OPERATING WITHIN THEIR JURISDICTION AS ORDAINED BY GOD WILL SURELY COME TO PASS! The she uttered out some words in her grief: “Unless I did not carry her for nine months and she did not suck from my breasts, she will come back today walking as she left”. She went home to face the shame over her run away daughter She could not even lift herself up and just said that she does not know who has turned her daughter’s heart upside down and that person will pay. Our sister was busy communicating with the big man on the tablet and promising him that today will be a great day with him in the new apartment he had rented for her. She was not aware what was ahead of her. She now phoned the youth pastor and told him that she will visit him the following day but that he must send the money using any electronic transfer method the following day in the morning. The man who was driving the car she had hiked was developing interest in her since they were only the two of them. The man tried to touch her but our sister became angry and yet she was smiling. The man asked her that supposed the car had a problem on the way and they are stranded would she agree to spend a night in the same room. Our sister gave a shocking answer and this is what she said: “It depends”. The man was becoming uneasy as the journey progressed. When they were half way the journey with two hours remaining, they found a road block. They driver was ordered to come out of the car as the people manning the roadblock were dressed in policy uniforms. They checked his license and checked the tyres. They told the man that his tyres were not okay to which the man agreed. After a few minutes, four people came our of the bushes with guns and told the man to follow them or else they would kill him. The man followed those criminals and inside the bush, they stripped him of all his clothes and told him to lie face down. They went back and left one man guarding him. They told our sister to come out of the car without carrying anything. The phone was also taken. They also took her shoes. They called the other man who was guarding the driver. They drove off in the direction where they came from and left our sister shaking. The man had no clothes and so was ashamed to come out of the bushes. Our sister was in tears. She called the driver and because she did not know his name, she just shouted and the man answered but could not say that he was naked. Our sister begun going the direction of the voice and the man was panicking. Our sister was approaching the naked driver and he shouted wait. Our sister was traumatized by the men and the word “wait” from the driver meant nothing TO BE CONTINUED Episode 27 TODAY’S STORY As our sister was getting close the driver shouted don’t “don’t come my clothes have been taken ”. Our sister was now even more confused and did not know what to do. She decided to go back to the road with the hope of stopping any car and ask for assistance. She was now blaming herself not to have told the truth at home to her mother. She had no phone and no money and unfortunately for her she did not know any number off head. Just after a few minutes on the road, a car heading the direction they came from stopped. It had three occupants, two males and a lady. They asked her what she was doing in the bush and she told them what happened and that the drive was taken to the bush and was without clothes. The two men got out of their car and went into the bush and to their amazement the driver was truly without clothes. They did not know what to do as the only clothes they had was what they were putting on. The other problem was that the driver was too fat and could not fit into any of the clothes. There was a crisis and it was getting late. One of the men went back to the car to see what could be done and fortunately the lady who was in the car had a spare cloth that was big enough to go round the waist of the driver. The man took the cloth to the driver and he wrapped around himself except that his chest was outside. They walked with him to the car and was made to sit in the front seat. They drove off heading the direction of the village for our sister. As they drove, they were stopped by a police vehicle. They wanted everyone to come out but they noticed that one of the passengers in the front seat was halfway naked. The policeman asked what was happening and the man narrated the whole story. One of the policemen told them that they saw that car speeding and were suspicious. One of the policy officials had a spare T-shirt in the car and luckily it fitted the driver. They drove off and about five kilometers to the village of our sister, the car broke down and it was getting very late. Our sister decided to trek home as she was too traumatized after all her belongings were stolen. They tried to stop her but she persisted that she knows her way and she began her journey. She walked all the way to the house and did not know what to tell her mother. She was hoping that she will find everyone indoors but unfortunately everyone was outside including the elderly lady who came to visit. She went straight inside the house without any of the things she had carried. She was crying inside the house as she knew that she could not avoid facing her mother and explain all her sins. Her mother was so wise in the handling of the matter and tried to contain the matter within. She knew that this was not the child she had raised up and something should have driven her to do whatever she had done. Her mother also was fully aware that getting angry will not reverse what had happened and being negative to her daughter will just make matters worse. The mother prepared food for her daughter and gave it to her. Our sister was just watching in disbelief what was happening. She was expecting some sharp rebukes and shouting from her mother but this was not the case. Night dawned and everyone went to sleep and till this time her mother had not said anything and was just as joyful as ever. In the morning our sister realized that her fears were unfounded as her mother did not act according to her expectations. She was hurt but wanted to still find a way to correct her child. She raised up this child and so knew her better than herself. Our sister told her mother that she wanted to talk to her and her mother created time. Our sister began to cry and told the mother that she was sorry for what she had done whilst at school. She told her mother that she was six months pregnant and also told her who was responsible for it. The concern of her mother was her academic life. Her mother asked her what really came upon her to do such a thing as no child in the family had ever done this deed. In fact she was the most disciplined child in the family and the first one to go to University. Her response was that “mum I really do not know”. She was asked what she was going to do about her pregnancy and the man who gave the same. She told her mother that she intends to continue with school as soon as she gives birth. Her mother asked who was going to look after her baby. She said that she will bring the baby home and the father will be supporting. Her mother was not for the idea and wanted her to take full responsibility of that child till such a time that the child would be able to know and accept her as mother. She was against the practice that is so common in the cities where students get pregnant and go to dump their babies with grandparents. Normally such children grow up calling their own mothers as sisters or aunties. This is not right. A mother must be a mother and not a step mother. The mother told our sister that no one will be looking after your baby. You must know what it takes to be a mother. Her mother told our sister that why she would not take the responsibility immediately is because she may go and get pregnant again knowing that grandma is there. This was not easy for our sister and she was now thinking twice over the whole issue. It came to her to think of what the big man had told her that he was thinking of marrying her. She was confused.
