SHED FIRE AT LEWISTON At approximately 11.30am today approximately 25 CFS and 4 MFS firefighters responded to a shed fire on Harniman Road, Lewiston. On arrival they found a shed well involved with fire. Whilst the fire is still being actively fought, the shed fire has been contained away from the property’s dwelling and a smaller adjacent shed has been saved. Firefighters have needed to use breathing apparatus due to the shed containing boats, car parts, suspected fiberglass resins and LPG cylinders. SAPOL are in attendance and Fire Cause Investigators are en route. At this point in time there are no reported injuries and no known cause of ignition. Estimated damage is approximately $250,000.
