SIERRA MADRE POLCE DEPARTMENT POLICE BLOTTER REPORT JANUARY 19-26, 2014 Monday January 20, 2014 At 10:04 am a traffic collision with injuries occurred in the intersection of Orange Grove Av. and Baldwin Av. One of the involved parties was transported by Sierra Madre Fire Department to a local hospital. Tuesday January 21, 2014 At 8:33 pm, a residential burglary occurred in 00 block of Auburn Ave. After a child custody exchange, a man forced entry into his wives residence and stole the garage door remote. The man was later located, and after questioning, was taken to LA County Jail for booking. Wednesday January 22, 2014 At 9: 30 am, a member of the Mt. Wilson Trail Committee advised Sierra Madre Police Department that a hiking trail sign that was affixed to a sign post was stolen sometime between 12/01/2013 and 01/21/2014. At 11:01 am, in the 00 block of Coburn Ave. Resident reported a theft from their unlocked vehicle. Suspect’s entered vehicle and took various gift cards and a small amount of loose change. Thursday January 23, 2104 At 2:55 pm, in the 00 block of Lowell Ave. Resident reported finding a bicycle abandoned in area. Owner of Bicycle was located and stated his bicycle was stolen from the 00 block of Suffolk Ave. sometime between 1:00 pm on Sunday 01/19/2014 and 8:00 pm Wednesday 01/22/2014. Report was taken and bicycle was returned to owner. Friday January 24, 2104 At 1:30 pm, in the 00 block of Canon Ave. Resident reported between 01/23/2014 and 01/24/2014 unknown suspect’s removed miscellaneous items and cash from residence back porch. Saturday January 25, 2014 At 11:32 am, on Santa Anita North of Via Granate, Sierra Madre Police Department and Sierra Madre Fire Department responded to a bicyclist that had fallen of his bike. Bicyclist sustained injuries and was transported by Sierra Madre Fire Department to local hospital for their injuries. At 12:07 pm, in the 100 block of Canon Pl. Resident reported a theft from their unlocked vehicle. Unknown suspect’s entered the vehicle that was parked in victim’s driveway, a briefcase with several items were taken. Sunday January 26, 2014 At 1:01 am, in the 400 block of East Highland Ave. Victim reported they were awakened by a noise heard inside their home. Victim confronted suspect in the kitchen area, and suspect immediately exited a rear door. Suspect was later located, detained and booked on burglary charges.
