SIGNIFICANT MIDWEEK HOLIDAY TRAVEL IMPACTS EXPECTED ACROSS CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA (Please share this post to ensure max distribution) The next 72 hours will feature something for everyone. First, the good news...well see near-record high temperatures today. Max temps this afternoon (shown) will reach well into the 60s across much of central Pennsylvania, with south central and southeastern areas likely eclipsing 70 degrees. Breezy and much cooler conditions will arrive later tonight and Tuesday, setting the stage for potentially significant snowfall over eastern portions of Central Pennsylvania Wednesday into Wednesday night. The probabilistic maps below show chances of accumulating ≥2 or ≥4 through 7 am Thursday morning. As you can see, there is now a 70% or greater likelihood of accumulating ≥2 across the southeastern half of Pennsylvania on Wednesday/Wednesday night...and a 70% chance of ≥4 over much of the Lower Susquehanna River Valley over the same time. Persons planning holiday travel on Wednesday and Wednesday night should consider alternate travel times as significant delays and difficult road conditions are likely to accompany the first widespread snow of the season Wednesday into Wednesday night.
