“SIGNS OF THE TIMES” Sermon Series starting March 16, 2014 Sundays @ 11:00 AM Where are we in Bible prophecy? Is the end near? Where is the United States in the Bible’s descriptions of last day events? For years, students of Biblical prophecy have wrestled with the question, but for whatever reason, America seems to be missing from the end-times scenario. It makes you wonder. Why doesnt our nation seem to be one of the players at the end of history? Theyve been talking about the last days for centuries. The truth is, nearly every generation in recent history has interpreted Bible prophecy in light of its own historical experience and the headlines of the day. Generation after generation has felt convinced they would be the last, and obviously…they werent. They were wrong. So why should our generation be any different? These are legitimate questions, and here is my answer: The Bible gives us certain signs of the times we’re told to be looking for—clear indications that will alert us to Christ’s soon return. And here’s what I find so fascinating: There are more of those signs in closer proximity to one another than have ever been before. If those warning signals mean anything—and I believe they do—we are very, very close to the return of Jesus Christ and the end of the world as we know it.
