SIKKIM UNIVERSITY RECORDS 90.18 PERCENT RESULTS Gangtok, 6th July 2013 : A total of 4767 among 5356 Undergraduate and Post Graduate students of Sikkim University scripted success in the Spring Semester results declared here on Friday. Registering an overall pass percentage of 90.18 from among University departments and 11 affiliated colleges, four colleges topped the chart with 100 percent students passing the end semester exams held last month. Results of 70 students have been withheld and 519 students failed, the result analysis revealed. The results scheduled to be declared on June 30 was postponed due the University’s foundation day functions. Bhim Rawat, president of Press Club of Sikkim initiated the result declaration by launching the results’ online format. Vice Chancellor Prof. T.B.Subba, Controller of Examinations Dr.Suresh Kumar Gurung and other university officials also attended the function held at evaluation block,5th mile at Gangtok. In this spring semester examination, first batch of Sikkim Government Law College under Sikkim University completed Graduation Degree with 97.28 as pass percentage. Vice Chancellor of Sikkim University Prof. T.B Subba said declaring the result within 20 days was a challenging task fulfilled due to the efforts and team work of university faculty members who helped maintain the set deadline. Chief Guest Bhim Rawat congratulated Prof. Subba and university team for their successive achievement and appreciated the effort made by the university. He said Sikkim University will not only produce unemployed persons but also produce good academicians and intellectual from this region in future. Controller of Examination Dr. Suresh K. Gurung gave the overall result analysis of the Spring Semester 2013.
