If you would like to continue to see the Prayer Needs, just like the page. Thanks MONDAY EVENING PRAYER NEEDS FTA Sharon Ingram Age: 50-59 Single P.O. Box 344 Church Background: Baptist Greensburg, IN Heard about CCF from: Website Prayer Request: Health, Godly husband From Apostle Bob Hauselman: Like many churches, our church has a wonderful group called a prayer chain which has prayed for thousands of prayer requests over the past 40 years. As I thought about this I realized that these prayers are almost exclusively reactionary prayers - prayers that were in response to a need. In one sense, our prayer life was more directed by the work of the enemy than by the Holy Spirit. I realized that there was too often a void when it came to offensive praying that are Holy Spirit inspired. Here are a few examples I heard about: One pastor indentified two groups of 80 people in the phone directory. One group received prayer for 90 days and the other did not. At the end of the prayer time, both groups were called for prayer requests. Of the 80 not prayed for, none shared any needs. Of the 80 who had received prayer, 79 openly asked for prayer and some even invited the callers over for coffee. A man who was grieved over the divorce rate in his city went to the county courthouse and obtained lists of every couple who had filed for divorce. He then began praying for the people by name each day. After some time, he actually contacted the people and without prying into their marital status, simply asked for prayer requests. Amazingly, of the couples he prayed for, many withdrew their lawsuits and opted to try to work out their problems. In the months after one woman in Cottonwood, Arizona started praying for the police department, the police chief started going to church, and another officer had a near death experience during which he saw a vision of Jesus at the foot of his bed. Not only did that officer accept Christ, but several others in the department were so affected by his testimony that they, too, were saved. These brothers and sisters who undertook these tasks went on the offensive and used a most power weapon at our disposal - believing prayer in the name of Jesus. Speaking of the name of Jesus….some Christians use the name of Jesus more like a mantra or a magical word. The reality is, when we call on the name of Jesus, we are truly calling for Jesus to come and help us - bringing Him into the equation. We are inviting Him to get involved in the situations for which we are praying. Welcome to 2015. It’s a new day! PRAYER NEEDS: Murrell Anderson (Oneda’s husband) passed away last night around 9 pm. I told her I would put him on our Prayer Chain. I prayed with her and asked if she was saved. She said yes. I told her I believe in miracles and she agreed. Please agree for a healing miracle. Only Gods Word of healing. She lost her husband last year of a blood clot in his lung. He is doing a bucket list. Thank you. Nancy Bangert: My friend Kim in N.C. sent this out this morning:....Hi everyone, I am asking for much needed prayer for my nephew Levi. He is three weeks old and was admitted to the hospital with RSV. His mother says that he is having to work really hard to breath. From what I gather this virus is very serious for babies. Thank you all. Kim Land (LAST UPDATE: I just spoke with Levis mom. Along with the oxygen he is on steroid. The doctors say that is all they can do. The virus has to run its course. They also claim that it could get worse. I declared to his mother that it will not get worse and that no weapon formed or even any of the enemies schemes against Levi will not prosper. I asked the Lord to send special forces to protect and defend this innocent child.) Marilyn Pickett: Martha Fortner in hospital with a urinary track infection. Also, oxygen level dangerously low. Please pray for healing. (UPDATE: Still in the hospital, but she is improving, oxygen levels have stabilized and she is on antibiotic.) Was able to be at church on Sunday. Praise the Lord!) Robin Norman: Pops is back in the hospital at Columbus. Dizzy, dehydrated and blood pressure problems. Please pray for healing.
