SINGAPORE: SMRT on Tuesday (Jan 27) said it will extend the service hours for train and selected bus services on Jan 31 and Feb 14. For the North-South and East West MRT lines, the last trains toward Joo Koon, Pasir Ris, Marina Bay and Jurong East MRT stations will depart City Hall MRT station at 12.30am. Those on the last northbound train will be able to connect to the last Bukit Panjang LRT train at 1.31am. For those taking the Circle Line, the last train going to HarbourFront MRT station will leave Dhoby Ghaut MRT station at 11.55pm, while the last train to Dhoby Ghaut from HarbourFront will leave at 11.30pm. SMRT has also extended the service hours for several bus services at Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang, Sembawang, Woodlands and Yishun interchanges on Jan 31 and Feb 14. On Jan 31, SMRT bus services 61, 190, 851, 961 and 970 will be temporarily diverted from 2.00pm and 11.00pm due to road closures for the Chinese New Year Light-Up Ceremony at Chinatown. - CNA/ac/el
