(Broadrick) We continued with our topic on insects Academics: • Drawing Insets • Decimal System • Kinds of roots Songs: • Continued with spring songs • Songs about insects. Mandarin (Broadrick) Continued with our topic on insects Learnt the months of the year Conversation: “When is your birthday?” Songs: Songs about insects Learnt the names for some vegetables: chilli, broccoli Mandarin (Newton) Presentation: ‘Wild Animals’ - Tiger, Elephant, Monkey, Lion, Zebra, Bear, Giraffe and Leopard Poem: A Tang dynasty poem entitled ‘Goose’ Song: ‘Two Tigers’ Mathematics: Tracing and recognizing numerals Extended Day We continued with our topic on the honeybees, talking about the lifecycle and the activities in the hives In Geometry - we worked with the Geometry Cabinet and Cards and made a booklet BIAN DANG BAN (Broadrick) We learnt to write the characters for the ant and continue discussing insects We introduced the ‘Dragon Boat’ Festival Craft: making a scented bag Songs: Insect Songs BIAN DANG BAN (Newton) HANYUPINYIN: ‘an’, ‘en’, ‘in’ Presentation: Fruits - Starfruit, watermelon, banana and lemon. Items of daily use’ - spoon, pillow, chopsticks and toothbrush Language: Collective nouns Practice: Calligraphy and water colours Hindi Group Presentation– We continue to work with the topic on ‘Insects’. They are learning to name a few insects and parts of an insect. Art Project – Collage of a bumble bee. Story – Bubbles goom ho gaya.. Grammar : We continue to work with Ekvachan and Bahuvachan (Singular and Plural) Songs – à Thithli udi à Chota nata makoda oopar chad gaya … à Bandhar mama à Billi gayi Delhi Infant Community Presentation: ‘Nature’ - tree, leaves, flower, grass, stone, mountain, rain and wind Songs: ‘Reach for the sky’, ‘Rain, rain go away’, ‘Bear went over the mountain’ Exercises of Practical Life (Presentation): Cleaning Leaves, Watering a Plant Stories: ‘Weather’, ‘What can I do today?’ Art and Craft: Gluing exercise with dried flowers Have a great weekend!
