SINGLE: 20:00 EA Guinguamp - St.Rennes 1 (2.30) Analyze: Guingamp suffered quite unfair loss away to Nice last weekend, with the narrow 0:1 result as Dario Cvitanich scored the only goal in the third minute of the second half. Both teams were quite equal in their chances and ball possession and even though the draw might have been a bit more fairer result, hosts still showed great determination to get to the three pointer. In any way, away loss to Nice won’t disappoint players of Guingamp a lot, as they are anyway much more focused on their home games where they except most of the points to come during the season. Team is newly promoted into the Championnat and no doubt that their only target for this season remains staying in the league. So far, their 2-2-4 record isn’t very satisfying, but the team will be trying to get back to the winning ways against Rennes, having in mind that they ended their previous game at home with a 5:1 victory over Sochaux. They are still without some important players, which make their results at the beginning of the season even more important, as the team plays without first choice goalkeeper Samassa (5/0), defenders Cerdan (still didn’t recover from the start of the season) and Pereira (4/0) and forward Faure, also without participation in the new season. Rennes, on the other hand, suffered a 1:3 home defeat against newly promoted Nantes at home, clearly showing that the team is in quite a deep crisis at the moment. Worse than defeat was their performance as the team couldn’t reply after 0:2 in the first halftime, needed a lot time and ball possession in order to make a real goalscoring chance. Visitors took their victory clearly, while the only goal for the home side was scored by Oliveira. This was only second defeat of Rennes in the new season, but the team counts only one victory in last five matches, which is simply too little for a team that has set a target to European ticket this season. Currently, they are at eight position with a 3-3-2 record and are surely looking to get a positive result here and improve their rank in coming weeks. Visitors have a number of absences in the back line, as they will perform without defenders Moreira (3/0), Boye (1/0), Kana-Biyik (4/0), while they are also without midfielder Konradsen (3/0) and forward Said (3/0). There have been under 2.5 goals scored in six of Guingamp’s last seven games in Ligue 1. Guingamp has already proven that they are very tough home side to beat and will surely be looking to get another positive result in front of the home crowd. Visitors aren’t naive at all, but are coming with problem in their back line and will surely have hard time staying undefeated against a side that worked well at home in previous game and has very good atmosphere in the locker room right now. SINGLE: 20:45 NAC Breda - Heracles 1 (2.20) Analyse: NAC Breda is coming from a point taken away from home against Zwolle in a goalless draw last weekend. Although neither of the sides was very convincing in their attacking tries, hosts still did much more on the pitch and the visitors from Breda could feel very happy with a point taken as they were much more passive side on the field. With this draw, NAC continued undefeated streak to five matches now, including a victory in a Cup competition, but also wins over AZ Alkmaar and Roda prior to a goalless draw against Zwole. With four undefeated matches in a row in league competition, they climbed up to the eleventh position at the table, having two points more than relegating placed Den Haag. Team is expected to rely much more on home matches this season, meaning that they will be searching for a victory here in order to go away from the troubling positions. Hosts continue without midfielders Bodor (5/0) and Gilissen (5/0), while defender Looms remains sidelined with a injury from the beginning of the season. Coach Gudelj is expected to name unchanged squad in comparison to last weekend’s game, meaning that Poepon will lead the attack once again. Heracles, on the other side, is coming into this game from a 1:4 away victory against RKC Waalwijk last weekend. They surprised everyone with attacking display from the first minute, while star of the was striker Uth with three goals scored. Visitors took important victory in more than a fair way as they were way more dominant for the whole game. With this victory behind their back, they broke mini run of two consecutive defeats, being currently at tenth position with a 3-1-4 record. Target for this season should be remaining safe in the league, while everything more will be counted as extra profit for them. After a good match last weekend, there is no doubt that the visitors will try to get another positive result and maybe play a bit more relaxed. Defender Dorda (3/0) is out with an injury, same as midfielders Vujicevic (2/0) and Amoah (3/1), as well as striker Kangaskolkka (3/0). Striker Uth will surely lead the attacking lineup once again, with Oussama being the right wing. Heracles are undefeated in their last ten matches against NAC Breda. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in six of Heracles’s last seven away games in Eredivisie. After a poor start early in the season, it seems that NAC Breda is finding their form and should be regarded as way stronger favorite when facing up against mediocre Heracles than the bookies are currently rating them
