SIZE DOESN`T MATTER I`ve been watching the little league games for the last two weeks. These kids have a lot going for them. They react to all parts of the game. This comes from them playing for many years. You are always told the experience helps. we if you have beem watching you can judge for yourself. we played a lot of ball when we were kids and you could tell who was good ,fair and needed help. My dad coached for many years with the idea was to teach them to learn to play and not only to win. Well he was right, he played many years without out wining many games. I would go with him and didn`t see him get to sad about. But I know he wasn`t to thrilled about it. I made up my mind that when I got there was my time came I would play for him. In those days a father could pick his sons to be on their team. Well the time came and Abe and myself were picked. Dad always took the teams to the diary queen if the game was won. He even took the team if he felt the team put out a good showing. Through the years I and Abel were able to bring dad at least two championships. Our goal was to show Dad that his hard work with the kids through years had paid off. The look in his face was enough for us to see that he was feeling proud of all he did for his teams win or lose. For this I love the rules of the little league that all will play at least one inning. The Sizes were from 6ft. 4 to 4ft 8. To see the 4footers strike out the giants is a wonderful sight. To see the little one bang out a base hit from the 6 footer. The coaches show more positive than negative. They say there is no crying in baseball, don`t kid yourself. If you aren`t crying you don`t care. I`ve had my share of crying when I played. My crying was for me and my Dad . I didn`t want him feeling bad. So no matter what size you are it doesn`t matter , it`s what`s in you heart that matters.
