**SKAM NEWS** *NEW SINGLE PEACEMAKER RELEASED 1ST DECEMBER* *STAGE 2 HEADLINERS FOR PLANET ROCKSTOCK* *MORE UK TOUR DATES SET FOR 2015* Powerhouse UK three-piece SKAM unleash PEACEMAKER on 1st December, the new single from the critically acclaimed second album Peacemaker.( Off Yer Rocka Recordings) SKAM [Steve Hill vocals/guitar, Neal Hill drums, Matt Gilmore bass] continue to bring their brand of contemporary British rock to the masses. With the classics like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and AC/DC as main influences, their no frills rock is making the industry and public sit up and take notice. The band is currently on a UK tour. This is a 12 date headline tour, including 4 dates with new Aussie rockers MASSIVE. They also made an appearance at Hard Rock Hell 8 earlier the month. The new single comes with a “Tribute to Leicester” video. This had an overwhelming response when it was first released at the start of November. It clocked up over 3000 views in 2 days. The video captures all the key sites around Leicestershire with a few personal ones thrown in for good measure. Leicester Legends such as Peter Shilton, Showaddywaddy and Gary Lineker are all on board and have got behind SKAM. The track is about never giving up, keep going till the end, keep fighting, basically all the clichés needed in this disturbed industry of music. PEACEMAKER MUSIC VIDEO: youtube/watch?v=KekiupIKEWo 2014 has been a real game changer for SKAM. The release of a second record is always tough for any band. The record was received with open arms from the critics, Kerrang! “KKKK”, Powerplay Magazine “9/10” This has been supported by over 80 live gigs rocking with bands such as AIRBOURNE, Electric Mary and The Answer. The guys were very confident when entering the studio with Hard Rock producer Matt Elliss. Steve says “PEACEMAKER sums up SKAM in 4 minutes. We are so pleased with the sheer power of the track; this is really what we are about live so to get this down on record is a great feat!” To make things even better the “B Sides” for this release are 2 SKAM classic, recorded live on their Peacemaker Part 1 tour. No lies and Massacre were recorded live at Exchange in Bristol, August 2014. These tracks are both singles from their debut album and are firm favorites in the live set. This epic year will be ended on a high with a headline slot on stage 2 of Planet Rock Stock in December. All this for a self-funded, self-motivated, self-everything , DIY to the core band who have been given great support already from the fine people at Planet Rock Radio, Classic Rock Magazine, Kerrang Magazine, XFM Rock Show, Kerrang Radio and Scuzz TV among others.
