SKIMS, SSB postpone exams Srinagar, Sep 7: Dean Medical Faculty SKIMS on Saturday said the entrance examination for B.Sc. Nursing and Technology courses at SKIMS which was scheduled to be held on Sunday at SKIMS at 3 pm has been postponed. “The examination will now be held on Tuesday on September at10 at SKIMS at 3 pm. Candidates are advised to report to SKIMS at 2 pm. Details are available at SKIMS website ”the Dean said in a statement. Meanwhile, the Service Selection Board (SSB) has postponed the objective type written tests which were scheduled on September 15. In a statement, the secretary of SSB said, “It is hereby notified for information of the candidates that the Objective Type Written Test, for the posts where the basic qualification is Matric, (i.e Forest Guard) and Graduation level posts, which was scheduled to be held on 15th of September 2013 (Sunday) is hereby postponed. The next date shall be notified separately.” Labourer dies in mishap Srinagar, Sep 7: A labourer died in a mishap in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Saturday. Police said a labourer Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat (20) son of Abdul Azizi resident of Weaven, Bandipora was hit by a shooting stone in the forest area of Tulail Gurez, resulting in his on spot death. Police have started inquestproceedings under section 174 CrPC. Student missing in Srinagar Srinagar, Sep 7: A ninth class student of Khanyar area here is missing since past two days. Police said Bashir Ahmad Bhat son of Muhammad Rajab resident of Alamdar Colony, Nowpora, reported that his son Waseem Ahmad Bhat aged about14 years left his home on Thursday after receiving a telephonic and did not return. Youth attempts suicide in Kupwara Srinagar, Sep 7: A youth attempted suicide in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district last night. Police said 23 year old Shabir Ahmad Rather son of Ali Muhammad resident of Reshigund, Kupwara consumed some poisonous substance at hishome. He was shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment.
