SLAM DUNK FESTIVAL WINS NATIONAL AWARD FOR BEST FESTIVAL! The team behind Slam Dunk Festival have sore heads today after celebrating winning a national award for Best Festival. The team took the prize at The Relentless Kerrang Awards at Troxy in London in front of stellar guests including Status Quo, The Ramones and Fall Out Boy and was hosted by Andrew WK. Leeds’s Slam Dunk, dubbed one of the ‘craziest’ festivals by music fans beat off competition from the likes of Leeds Festival, Download and Blood Stock Festival, firmly cementing its reputation as a major music event for the alternative rock scene. The festival, which will celebrate it’s tenth Birthday in 2015 features a huge roster of bands across seven stages at Leeds University students Union, is managed by Slam Dunk LTD a Leeds-based music promoter. “Its been nearly 10 years of hard work but to get this recognition makes it worth it!
