SLEEP ISSUES: Many people have issues with experiencing a great nights sleep - the kind of sleep that completely regenerates and revitalizes you and has you wake up with tons of energy ready to offer your best to the world! The most common reason for fragmented sleeping patterns is blood sugar disturbances throughout the day and night. This occurs when one eats the improper foods, in the improper combinations, with a poor meal frequency. Improper nutrition leads to significant blood sugar swings throughout the day and night which is coupled with swings in hormones that physiologically kick in to attempt to regulate blood sugar (adrenaline, cortisol, glucagon, and others). Swings in these hormone levels make it very difficult to enter the restorative phases of sleep. So...it is possible to get the proper amount of sleep, but still wake and feel unrested!
