“SLIM Speech Idol Season 2” organized by the Toastmasters Club of Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing ended on a grand note on the 27th of February at Galadari Hotel. After months of rigorous filtering of participants from diverse ages, backgrounds, but with a common base of studying or working in the marketing field, 7 finalists were selected. They then faced a panel of judges comprising of renowned Toastmasters of Sri Lanka at the Finals. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr Tilan Wijesekara. The 3rd Year SLIIT (SHU) undergraduate, Fathima Nuzhath Hashim, of the Faculty of Business was placed Second Runner-Up at the Finals.
