SLINGIN SAMMYS SENSATIONAL SERIAL - An All-American footballer at Texas Christian University, Samuel Adrian Slingin Sammy Baugh signed a baseball contract to play baseball with the St. Louis Cardinals after graduation. Eventually deciding to play professional football with the Washington Redskins, tailback/quarterback/punter Baugh became one the games most popular players, holding most of the NFLs passing records when he retired in 1952. His #33 uniform is the only one to be retired by the Washington Redskins and was a charter member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Baugh hailed from the Lone Star State, was a gifted athlete and delivered is lines in a pleasant, if halting, Texas drawl and, in the opinion of legendary director, William Witney, would have made a superb western star. However, KING OF THE TEXAS RANGERS (1941), was Baughs his only starring role. Aptly, it is also one of the most action-packed cliffhangers ever made! Heres the trailer.... youtu.be/dufoYr-na_o
