SLM Youth Department Notices- 28th February, 2014 *Happy Friday,* *It is another Friday once again and I dont know about you but I am truly excited!!!It is also the end of another month. I hope and trust that your week was successful and productive and if it wasnt Psalm 103:2-5 NRSV reminds us....Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits-- who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the Pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good as long as you live so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.* *The following are a some updates and reminders of events:* - *The Youth Director would like to meet with all Area Coordinators and their Assistants this coming Tuesday, 4th March, 2014 at the South Leeward Mission Office. This meeting will begin at 5:00 pm. * - *The Youth Department is happy to announce that registration fee for Junior Youth Camp had been REDUCED by $20.00....Yes you read correctly. Please note that the March, 17, 2014 deadline still applies. That day will be the final day of accepting registration and the medical form and ALL Pathfinders must register for Junior Youth Camp in order to be invested.* - *Please note that the South Leeward Missions island wide Convention will be next Sabbath, 8th March, 2014 at Gilberts Estate (Second Advent Radios old location). In light of this event...all youths and youth leaders are kindly asked to be present in your full A-class uniform and that is Eager Beaver, Adventurer, Pathfinder and Advent Youth. This is to honor our Year of the Youth initiative. Service begins promptly at 9:00 am. * - *Each church is asked to send the names one Pathfinder and one Advent Youth to be ushers at the upcoming Convention. Please email me that information by next Wednesday, 5th March, 2014. Also note that A.Y leaders/officers that may only have the uniform top will be allowed to wear a black skirt or pants. * - *Great news Senior Youth Campers!!! The Early Registration fee has been extended to Monday, 31st March, 2014. This is an event and opportunity you dont want to miss out on. Senior Youth Camp with be held on the beautiful island of Anguilla on July 17-28, 2014. Camp forms can be obtained form your local Youth Leader or at the South Leeward Mission office.* - *The Eager Beaver, Adventurer, Pathfinder and AY club insurance will expire on March, 31, 2014. The new coverage begins April, 1, 2014. Insurance fee is $2.75 and this is for Eager Beavers, Adventures and Pathfinders. Master Guides and Advent Youths pay $6.60. Clubs and Societies will not be allowed to camp or participate in activities unless your insurance is up to date.* Do have a Fabulous Sabbath and a safe weekend as you STAY BLESSED......... *PLEASE SHARE THESE INFORMATION!!!* Rejoice always.
