SNAKE I am a snake, with a slimy neck And a long and slimy body; Bedecked with scales, my twisted tail Is of the colour muddy. I do slide by the riverside And climb the tree top; I do crawl to the waterfall To drink a water drop. I kiss them, who have a flame Of anger towards me; With round, big eyes, of a planet’s size, Who come like a stormy sea.
