SO, this is where my mother is currently... Should I be worried? I dont think things are as bad a the report makes out but its a terrible situation. While I am a staunch defender of hospital staff I have to say that today the response time to patients call bells was too slow; especially when you think that these are non-mobile, elderly patients. When you gotta go - you gotta go. I still believe that Mum is getting good medical care - I just wish there were enough staff to ensure that patients were quickly attended to. Maintaining patient dignity surely helps keep a positive mental attittude - giving the best chance of rehabilitation? How do we fix the NHS??? Wish I had the answers.
