SO ...we have this squirrel in our yard who we started feeding crackers to on a daily basis. Every morning we would sit out on the patio and leave 3 crackers on the ground. Slowly but surely and day by day, he would get closer and closer to us until he eventually would take them right from our hand. A few weeks back we gave him a piece of toast with peanut butter on it. He loved that, so this became the routine for a while ...until we ran out of peanut butter. We placed a plain piece of bread out...and the little fur ball turned up his nose at it ! Time went by and we had not seen him in a few days.....that is until one morning I opened the door and there he was standing right in front of me in a begging position, staring me down. With no peanut butter or crackers...I found a box of raisins. I grabbed about 30 ...and dropped them out side on the patio. He walked right up...as if I was feeding a dog ...grabbed one and then laid out on the concrete as if he was right at home. LOL ...I know this may be a boring story ...but this furball never ceases to amaze me.
