SOAKING RAIN LESS LIKELY MON-TUE: The low is forecast to track further south as a few of the models suggested last week. This means more clouds than anything Monday and Tuesday with only scattered showers (mainly south of 460 corridor) with the heavier rain in the Carolinas. Very similar pattern to last week. QPF (rain forecast) showing very little moisture over our region the next 5 days. I know its been cloudy at times over the past few weeks, but were in need of some beneficial rain especially Roanoke/Lynchburg and points north. Heres the rain departures for September: Roanoke: -2.31 Lynchburg: -2.02 Danville: +0.22 Blacksburg: +0.98
