SOC Teach me your decrees … Psalm 119:25-32 (NIV) 25 I am laid low in the dust; preserve my life according to your word. 26 I recounted my ways and you answered me; teach me your decrees. 27 Let me understand the teaching of your precepts; then I will meditate on your wonders. 28 My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word. 29 Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me through your law. 30 I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on your laws. 31 I hold fast to your statutes, O LORD; do not let me be put to shame. 32 I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free. Father Thank You for teaching all who humbly come and ask of You, they who do so are blessed beyond measure. Imagine being able to see things in a light as God sees things, the only way that I know this is possible is to ask Him to teach You through His word, as you learn His word, you learn His ways, His love, His blessings and the opposites for all those who walk opposed to Him. In a sovereign kingdom, no one is surprised that they must follow and obey the King, in America and much of the new world this is a dated concept and very few know what it truly means to even considering the meaning of the saying for King and Kingdom. When you accept Christ you ask Him to become King and Ruler—Sovereign over your life. It’s up to Him to lead you and guide you for His Kingdom’s benefit. Are you ready to take your rightful place and position within His Kingdom? Are you ready to recognize Jesus as your ruler above all? Teach me (vv. 26-27). Too often we ask, How can I get out of this trouble? when we should be asking, What can I get out of this experience? In times of trouble, we need Gods wisdom or else we waste our suffering (James 1:2-8). James 1:2-8 (KJV) 2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. The psalmist knew there were still lessons to learn in the school of life and he did not want to miss them. He talked to the Lord about what was happening to him, and the Lord answered by giving him wisdom and strength. By faith, he expected to see Gods wonders displayed in the midst of his battles. What of you? Lord thank You for the best we can find if we seek Your face in our every life situation, even amidst the difficult ones that come, we can find solace knowing You are there with us and there is purpose in all things under the sun. I pray you are marveling at God’s love and care for you through every situation in your life, remember He promises to be there even in the difficult ones, if we will but let Him.
