SOC When it is hot, they are consumed out of their place… Job 6:14-30 (KJV) 14 To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend; but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty. 15 My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, and as the stream of brooks they pass away; 16 Which are blackish by reason of the ice, and wherein the snow is hid: 17 What time they wax warm, they vanish: when it is hot, they are consumed out of their place. 18 The paths of their way are turned aside; they go to nothing, and perish. 19 The troops of Tema looked, the companies of Sheba waited for them. 20 They were confounded because they had hoped; they came thither, and were ashamed. 21 For now ye are nothing; ye see my casting down, and are afraid. 22 Did I say, Bring unto me? or, Give a reward for me of your substance? 23 Or, Deliver me from the enemys hand? or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty? 24 Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred. 25 How forcible are right words! but what doth your arguing reprove? 26 Do ye imagine to reprove words, and the speeches of one that is desperate, which are as wind? 27 Yea, ye overwhelm the fatherless, and ye dig a pit for your friend. 28 Now therefore be content, look upon me; for it is evident unto you if I lie. 29 Return, I pray you, let it not be iniquity; yea, return again, my righteousness is in it. 30 Is there iniquity in my tongue? cannot my taste discern perverse things? Father Thank You for being the one we stand in, no matter what others may think or do, you are our eternal Father and ultimate judge. Not all people who claim to be of God or Godly are, religionist are very burdensome, most seek to have you live in a manner that they fail in continually and that very testimony tells one that it is OK to miss the mark, but if we miss God’s standard we miss it for eternity. Jobs friends have given him the sinner’s treatment, and it is still the majority view in many religions. If you are having problems it is because of sin in your life taking away God’s showing grace and mercy and a living testimony to those under pressure but in Him. Remember ultimately, we are proven are undone in the “righteous” and “faithful” judge, live accordingly. This does not mean that we do not challenge an errant brother or sister in accordance with God’s word and multifold witness, it simply means that we don’t “assume” and “accuse” without witness, and when we do, we should do so in private praying they will hear, repent, ask forgiveness of God, and start again to live in “newness” of life. Instead of accusing Job, they should have been encouraging him in this time of difficulty that he was walking in. We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves (Ro.15:1). And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing (1 Co.13:2). He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him (1 Jn.2:10). To him that is afflicted pity should be showed from his friend (Jb.6:14). A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity (Pr.17:17). Father thank You for Your full counsel in all matters; let us seek Your counsel as we offer peace to our brothers and sisters around us. I pray you are marveling at the fact that God is your “righteous” and “perfect” judge, others may get it wrong, He never will.
