SOLAR OVERHEAD PROJECTOR Developed by Shri Chandreshbhai Sadarani, GUJCOST-SCIENCE CLUB, Adatala Primary School, District : Amreli. (District Community Science Centre,Affiliated to Gujarat Council On Science & Technology(Gujcost), Gandhinagar) A BRIEF WRITE UP ON PROJECT Introduction: This model is prepared by self research. In teaching method, if we present the information in colorful or visual drawing, it becomes easy to remember for students. This is possible by overhead projector. But, these types of educational tools are costly and waste of heavy electricity for the school. This projector is also heavy in weight. So they are not easily movable from one side to other side. To considering all these kind of difficulties and negativeness, we suggested schools to make cheaper, easy and useful solar over head projector. This solar over head projector runs with solar energy. So there is no loss of electricity. It is movable and also Eco-friendly. we can use this projector in class rooms, where we get sun light at least 3 to 4 hours. we don’t need dark-rooms for their utilization. So children can write details on screen in the sun lighting. In short use of this projector save time of student’s and teacher’s and makes learning interesting. And also save electrical energy and money. Scientific Principle : 1) Reflection of light 2) Refraction of light Description : first of all take plane mirror, concave mirror, and convex lens. Now arrange them in vertical line, set plane mirror and concave mirror so that they can move upon the stand. Set concave mirror on convex lens’s focal center(f) at 45 degree. Arrange transparency sheet in front of concave mirror on stand. Set this projector at door or window where sunlight is available. So that written work or drawing work on transparency sheet is visible on big size. which give results as well as ready made projector of market. Uses of projector : Any person, child, or student can make it own. This projector is useful to present information, written work, presentation of lesson, to take test, to teach drawing, to explain diagram and to present various information in colorful form. very important matter is that it’s transparency sheet made by colorful marker pen. So we can use this study materials every year, therefore it saves our time, money and keep interest of study among students.
