SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS Today Friday we celebrate the last of the solemnities of Ordinary Time by ending in the Heart of our God. Our original earthly paradise has been replaced by the delights that the heart of our Jesus contains. Amongst the delights of the heart of Jesus there is the “Fountain of Mercy” that constantly nourishes our hearts with hope by renewing and refreshing our souls with the joy of our salvation. Sister Faustina now canonized as Saint Faustina enlightens us with insights that she attributes to an apparition of Jesus who spoke to her saying: ……bring souls to the “Fountain of my Mercy,” that they may draw therefrom strength and refreshment and whatever grace they have need of in the hardships of life, and especially at the hour of our death. This is why at the beginning of our Eucharist we always invoke three times the Mercy of God.
