John Kennedy said, “Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate.” John Kennedy understood the fragile balance of compromise because eventually the only compromising that will take place for peace is the compromise of our individual standards. Think about the importance of the Roman, “Struggle of the Orders,” This struggle became the hallmark of Roman civilization. Compromises were reached in the interests of stability and peace. Of course, compromise and assimilation was a Roman strength, but over time it became instead a weakness of the Roman world, much like what we’re seeing as a Nation now. Because whenever or wherever evil wins, it is only by default: by the moral failure of those who evade the fact that there can be no compromise on basic principles. Compromise cannot be allowed in cases where the exact truth is ascertainable. We realize as a Nation, we’re being lied too at all levels, from Local Government to our “Imperial” Federal Government. And the continual compromise being offered is our “Personal Freedoms” something that is worth fighting for at all levels. Compromise is a word for those who have no will to fight; the lazy, the cunning, the cowardly for they consider themselves defeated before they even get started.
