SOMETIMES I CRY Do you ever feel like you are just not good enough to step foot inside church? Maybe you attend church, smile, sing the songs, participate, but in your heart, feel unworthy of the gift of salvation... I know someone who once said, if I go into the church, Im so bad that the ceiling might fall down on me! Even Paul felt like he wasnt good enough at times! For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. (Romans 7:19 KJV). But Scriptures says, in Romans 3:23 (KJV), For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;. Not one person can claim to be good enough! After all, the church is a hospital for sinners, not a hotel for saints! Bear ye one anothers burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:1-2 KJV). But not too far down in the same chapter he writes, For every man shall bear his own burden. (Galatians 6:5 KJV). So, which is it? Do we bear one anothers burdens or just bear our own in silence? My guess is it depends on the circumstances, the type of issue you are dealing with, and whether you need the prayers of your church family to help restore to you a measure of faith and hope. One thing we know for sure is that we can always take our burdens to the Lord! Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (1 Peter 5:6-7 KJV). He is always there to listen, and even if you have to fake it until you make it with those around you, He sees your heart and knows your every need! My
