SOOOOO....I have a rant....and this may upset some people but its something that gets on my nerves every year around this time of year and it has already started.. Every year, either on facebook, the news, the internet or radio there are always some people who make comments or feel the need to make a post stating Its not Happy Holidays! Its Merry Christmas. First of all....there are several cultures that have holidays at the end of december and it would be extremely pretentious to think/assume that every one celebrates a Christian holiday. If so, am I supposed to judge someones looks to what holiday they celebrate???? If I wished everyone with curly hair and a curved nose Happy Hanukkah wouldnt that make me prejudiced for assuming the stereotype?? Two...why are you getting annoyed when someone is wishing FOR YOU TO HAVE A HAPPY TIME Celebrating whatever it is that you celebrate. If you have a belief system that you feel strongly about, then yes be proud! But we need to do better as a people here! This type of thinking only breeds negativity and hate during what is supposed to be a peaceful time of year for many cultures.
