SORRY, THIS IS NOT AN ANTI GOV. AMAECHI CAMPAIGN - JUST STATING THE FACTS. WAS GOV. AMAECHI BLOCKED FROM ENTERING GOVT HOUSE??? ( THIS IS WHAT TRANSPIRED EYE WITNESSES- EMMA OKAH, PRINCE EMJURU & PAUL PRAISE) Well, this is what really transpired for those who only get their feeds from newspapers and do not reside in Port Harcourt: Updated: from Emma Okah: “The police did not block Amaechi. Govt House, PH has 3 gates. The official gate is along Azikiwe Road. Amaechi and his crowd refused to use that official gate because he wanted to be in the news. The 2nd gate is near the RS Secretariat and it’s open. There is the third gate which is along Forces Avenue, which is a private gate or better still, an escape route. On the same forces Avenue is where Amaechi opened a parallell PDP Secretariat in defiance of a court order. Police blocked the portion of the road where the illegal secretariat is located to avoid a breakdown of law and order. The point blocked by the police is a great distance of about 300 meters from the 3rd gate of GHPH and there are many other streets cutting off that blocked point. Amaechi clearly wanted to defile the police and that is why he and his crowd passed through the point where the police blocked the road. When he got to the blocked road, he wanted to show that he is a superman and he challenged the police. The police refused to unblock that spot and he later went to follow the main gate which is the proper gate. Even before the above apt description of what transpired by Emma Okah, a former Commissioner for Information in Rivers State who resides in Port Harcourt, other Port Harcourt residents recounted their experiences: Princewill Emejuru POSTED: that is not true, I’m a Rivers and live in Rivers, what haed was that the PDP loyal to the Gov was stopped by the police to open a parallel office and roads were baricaded and it coincided with the Gov return from inspection, more over the road blocked was not the main entrance to the Govt house… And Paul Praise POSTED: ” no b so ooo, watch NTA , they just showed it, he was even the one that welcomed GEJ at d airport, NTA just showed every”… Gov Amaechi had in previous occassions called for the removal of Mbu the state commissioner of police, that his life is in danger. Amid all these, he went into the River State House of Assembly to moderate the beating up of disloyal lawmakers with his CSO and ADC and his loyalist lawmaker Chidi Lloyd who is facing court action. When contacted, the commissioner, who was visibly shocked and knows that the two main entrances to government house were free, said he will investigate the matter. The last gate on forces avenue is rarely used even when there is no blockade, how much more when access to it was by default cut off because of the court-ordered sealing up of the ”new” PDP offices anywhere in Nigeria (Kano office was also sealed).
