SOS Sharing of Style Some things Successful sales people do differently. 1. Theyre extraordinarily enthusiastic about their products. This RAT/mice/cockroach-AWAY plug it product was suddenly offered to me by extremely energetic SM staff (I notice his attentiveness earlier) while I was waiting for Bernards choice of electric fan (kids electric fans are disposable). I got 2 shoes already (on sale Rajo Laurel) so I decided to wait and stay close to Bernard as he finalize his transaction. I then saw ironing pad ON SALE with FREE plastic pad so I said daddy, we need this. This overly passionate Sm staff said maam eto, aalis sa bahay nyo ipis at daga and I jokingly replied San pupunta?. He seriously explained that once I turn it on, the light will suffocate them so they will either step out or die. He asked if Im staying in a condo and again, taking it lightly, I said Im living in a mansion. He said its capable of 100 sq m and once its switched on 24/7, its active. I asked Bernard if he wanna try. He asked the price and decided to take it. 2. They strike while the iron is hot. He didnt stop, he turned into vacuum cleaner and said Maam meron na kayong portable vacuum?. I said we have heavy duty vacuum cleaner and I dont need a portable one. Im already avoiding him because Im afraid I can be convinced. Im so biased to salespeople and Ive the tendency to buy once all my questions are addressed. 3. They are focused and consistent, they dont give up easily. He pointed on the air purifier and asked me if we have that. I said enough please. I told him we just came for a dinner and to buy an electric fan for my sons room. I really want to leave already for fear of buying un-budgeted not-very-important house stuff ( its ok if its my shoes). He said maam balik kayo ha and I said sige, kukunin kita as part of my sales team (if he knows how to dance). He of course, excitedly and interestingly reacted, as if he wants to get my business card. It pays to love your products. Selling becomes spontaneous and naturally occurring, its just like sharing a very nice story and offering a solution. I didnt feel like hes so gung-ho but I felt like I need all the things that he has to offer. Selling is a profession of love. You cant sell a product you dont believe in. You cant sell a product you dont love.
