SOS "Students of Success" Tutoring Program: We are excited to announce the Ephrata Middle School SOS “Students of Success” Tutoring Program that takes place after school Monday - Thursday from 3:00 – 4:00 pm in the Ephrata Middle School library. During this hour, snacks will be provided to studentx and they will receive additional academic support from various middle school teachers as well as their peers. With this in mind, research has proven that “all students can learn, given the appropriate amount of time to do so” and SOS is one opportunity we have chosen to provide students who might need this additional time. Although students can receive support in any subject on any day, in an effort to maximize the support provided, we have chosen to provide a math focus on Mondays and Wednesdays, a Science focus on Tuesdays and a Language Arts focus on Thursdays. Essentially, we are working to ensure teachers of these subjects are available on these days for students who need in-depth support in these subjects. Again, students can receive support in any subject on any day and we want to emphasize that we believe students would benefit greatly from taking advantage of this opportunity. Unfortunately we are unable to provide transportation at 4:00 pm so parent/guardians who have their students attend are responsible for making necessary transportation arrangements.
