SPAMMING/BUSINESS LISTINGS WILL BE REPORTED AS ABUSE *** Remember to always delete your posting after it has sold to clear the page for new listings *** Decatur Yard Sale Group (Decatur, GA) is a place for Decaturites to post things for sale, including furniture, cars, baby stuff, tools, and anything else that you no longer have use for but that others may enjoy. This page is for private sales only and not advertisements for business. Always group listings together into one post, and include location, price, and other details of each item prior to posting. All items must be available for pickup within 3 miles of the center of downtown Decatur for the convenience of group members. Please note that any postings beyond these geographical limits will be deleted by administrators. If you are willing to drop the item off/pick up and live outside of these limits, you must state this in your posting to prevent it from being deleted. Asking for delivery outside of these geographical limits is a violation of page guidelines and will result in deletion of user from page. Once users have connected with a buyer they should move details of the transaction to private message. Please do not indicate to seller that an item is wanted if there is no intention to complete the transaction. Users may also post free items and actual yard sales as well as things that they may be in search of. Feel free to add other local people who may be interested in buying and selling within this group. Co-op, business, obscene or inappropriate postings and photos will be removed. BUMP - Bring Up My Post (maximum of two per listing) FS - For Sale LTB - Looking to Buy ISO - In Search Of EUC - Excellent Used Condition GUC - Good Used Condition NWT - New Without Tags NIB - New in Box Users may also rehome pets with a maximum $50 rehoming fee (but no Free pets and no selling of pets) plus a small donation of choice to a local animal charity or shelter from both parties under the honor system. For the animals benefit, please do your best due diligence when looking for a new home for your dog, cat, or other animal: - Interview and ask challenging questions - Call the new adopters veterinarian to make sure that current pets are vetted as well as given flea and heartworm preventatives - Visit their home and observe if their other pets appear happy - See if other pets are wearing collars with attached rabies and identification tags - Check their fence for holes from where the pet could escape - Ask for referrals from friends to find out what kind of pet owner the adopter will be. In Southern states, and particularly Georgia, many free dogs are maimed, injured, and killed in horrific and violent ways when they are used as bait dogs for dogfighting. Seemingly normal families and even children are used as props to obtain these dogs and cats. Please use caution and good sense to find the best home for your pet. If you have any questions or need assistance in the process of rehoming your pet to a new family, please contact the administrator of this group.
