SPCA TEAM - Help required !! I am keen on getting the dogs in HCL sector-126, SEZ campus sterilized and vaccinated / treated for mange or small wounds, ticks etc. so that the community animals are healthy and the HCLites who feed them, pet them or are wary, are all safe. The population will also remain under control and there will be no territorial fights in the campus. All in total there are 27 permanent dogs and 3 visitors who come in only in the evenings.The puppies can’t be sterilized but I will keep a check on them and get them fixed as soon as they are about 5-6 months. The plan is to catch the dogs in 3s (3 dogs at a time) weekly (Friday evening or Saturdays), send them to SPCA for operation, and send the next batch of 3 dogs in the coming week , once the previous batch is released back. So at a given time, we would be focusing only on 3 dogs, which would be easy to manage and focus on. This needs to continue till we manage to sterilize as many dogs as possible, preferable all. I have spoken to Vibha and she has happily agreed to this. We would probably start the drive this weekend or the next one. I would also need 30 DOG COLLARS (sizes for indi dogs) so that all the HCL dogs can be tagged/collared properly and can be easily identified. So it would be big help if anyone is willing to donate old /new dog collars. I can collect them from SPCA on a phone call as my office is next to SPCA only.
