SPEAKING FROM MY MIND’S EYES-2015 ANTICIPATION As we’ve - TopicsExpress

SPEAKING FROM MY MIND’S EYES-2015 ANTICIPATION As we’ve entered the year 2015, a lot of expectations come along. Let’s face the fact. A lot of people wish to have entered the year. But unfortunately, some didn’t. The past year came with too many calamities, disappointments and some we have never dreamt of seeing in our nation’s history. When one thinks of the year 2014, only one thing comes to mind. The deadly ebola virus which plagued three of West Africa’s nations: Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone, later in Nigeria and Senegal and Mali. We must keep the preventive measures as instructed by medical doctors. As we look ahead of 2015, I’m hoping that virus like ebola won’t surface forever. 2015, in my own view brings many expectations. In a week or two, schools will be opened which signifies that actual normalcy is once again about to be enjoyed by us all. In the meantime, we are already seeing the events of weddings, wakes and funerals that are going on normally as they used to before the ebola virus began spreading that stopped them all. As life starts normally again with the beginning of the opening of schools, I’ll like to remind us all that, until the United Nations and the World Health Organization (W H O) can declare the three West African countries free of the deadly virus, the preventive methods must continue. Because there will be a lot of clustering as it’s already been done in some places. Every institution to include schools, churches, mosques and workplaces must make sure that everyone who passes through their corridors must have their hands washed and if possible, temperature testing must also take place. As an optimist myself, I’m hopeful of good things happening in the year 2015 and beyond. One thing that has made me feel good about the future is, the December 20 special senatorial election passed peacefully and shortly, all of our new senators will be seated, beginning new tasks given them by their voters. We must also wish good for the people we’ve elected for the next nine years. I’m sure some people learnt lessons from the election. Representatives…2017 is coming your way. You must work hard if you really want to get re-elected by your people. As you’re already aware, political rengling is going on between our representatives with claims and counter claims about Speaker Alex Tyler involvement in corruption. Let’s hope this will end on a good note my people. As we approach the end of the first month of 2015, resolutions were made before and during the first day of January. For some people, their resolution is to get married, to attend a school of their choice, to move to a new community and a lot more. What is your own resolution for this year? For some, resolution don’t just happen without finance. Maybe the ones that have planned to be wedded or move to a new home already have the finances to do likewise. And for some, resolution has become a recitation. Every year has the same resolution without making efforts to have them implemented. Let’s hope that this year’s resolution for you will be closely followed and wisely implemented. You know it doesn’t just work by word of mouth, but you should be determined as to how you can make your resolution work. Be focused on what you’ve planned as your resolution. If not, your resolution will be that of a nursery ryme or recitation every year. And sometime, if you’re a religious person, put it in prayers. For me Jeff, I’m not used to publicly stating my resolutions. They just happen. Over the years, I’ve learned to believe in myself and do those things that might lead to some good results. Maybe I should explain what I have planned or what you might termed as a resolution: I’ve planned to get a job that will sustain me and my family. Maybe I’m tired of freel ancing for little or nothing. That will also be a part of my plan though, move in to a new city or community-that is depending on the location of said job. And 2015 for me, my life must be made useful and meaningful to those around me. Part of my plan for this year is to have a serious relationship with a woman that might eventually become the wife of my life. I’m in love with several of them though, but one of them might become that special someone. Hope none of them is reading this post. While we anticipate those good things for this year, let me wish for us all the best. May the most meaningful plans be realized by you. “Happy New 2015 Year” This is Jeff Tarnue speaking from my mind’s eyes.
