SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT SALMON CATCH TICKETS FOR THE ROKKASHO SALMON FESTIVAL NOVEMBER 1st & 2nd! #2 way to get a ticket. This is about as close to a 100% chance to get a ticket: The Rokkasho Chamber of Commerce will start selling advance tickets to the salmon catch on Thursday October 16th from 9am to 4pm. But you have to drive to Rokkasho (30~40minutes). Last year it took one day to sell out. 2 tickets per customer. They will not sell tickets to kids that are not at least elementary school age. Here are the directions with map: Go out the main gate, turn left at the first light and go straight until you hit the T at the Pacific Ocean. Turn left, you will now be on Rt. 338 going north. From the T go about 21.2km and turn right at the light (there will be a Circle K convenience store on the left right before the turn). Follow this road about 6.3 km and turn right (the sign will point to the Rokkasho Village Office) follow this road, you will see a turn off to the left for Rt.24 (continue straight). The Chamber of Commerce is on the right just after the Rt. 24 light If you need to ask, it is called the shou-kou-kai.
