SPECIAL FORCES CLUB The Special Forces Club of London is hosting a reception in Washington, D.C., on October 25, 2014, before the William J. Donovan Award Dinner. The purpose of the reception is to introduce prospective applicants to the club, its history, and the criteria for membership. Founded in 1945 by members of the British Special Operations Executive (SOE), the British counterpart to the OSS, the Special Forces Club is an international organization with membership drawn principally from the intelligence and special operations communities. A detailed history of it can be found at sfclub.org. If you would like to learn more about the Special Forces Club and can fulfill criteria for membership as outlined below, please join us at the Ritz-Carlton on October 25, 2014. The Viscount Slim, the clubs past president, a former commander of the British SAS, and the son of Field Marshall William Slim, will speak the event. Adrian Stones, its immediate past chairman, will deliver a brief presentation on the benefits of membership. Current members will be in attendance to answer your questions.
