SPECIAL VISITORS: Jon Fishman from Phish returned to Vics today - TopicsExpress

SPECIAL VISITORS: Jon Fishman from Phish returned to Vics today to do some serious shopping and give his tech, Lee Scotty Scott, a tour of the shop. Jon is in town to play three gigs this weekend starting tomorrow night @ FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island in Chicago. Jon and Scotty just left Vics after having arrived to the shop at 2pm this afternoon! These guys are as obsessed with drums as we are! They didnt even break for lunch. Jon spent over eight hours auditioning snare drums and cymbals before settling on three snares and two rides. He also picked up some Gibraltar Hardware mini boom cymbal arms, as well as some parts for his Jojo Mayer Perfect Balance bass drum pedal by Sonor. Then it was off to Vics personal studio to play Vics massive GMS kit consisting of 16 drums, 50 Paiste Cymbals, 8 Drum Workshop pedals, 11 electronic pads, and a gong. What a day! Truly a great hang!! Be sure to catch Jon and Phish this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday @ FirstMerit Bank Pavilion. Phish is definitely one of those bands everyone should experience live.
