SPENDING TIME WITH DADDY But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray. Luke 5:16. Hi family. In reviewing a few passages on the prayer practices of Jesus this morning, I am reminded of the urgency of getting alone with Daddy. Prayer was important to Jesus, so much so that he got up early (Mark 1:35) and would also go away at night (Matthew 14:23) to do it. In short Jesus prayed a lot, and these are just a few of the recorded instances that we know about. I can only imagine that He was constantly praying all day long as the demands of ministry weighed heavy upon Him. I know with certainty in my own life I would like to believe I pray a lot. Unfortunately, in the aftermath of decisions I have made, or not made, I know I did not spend the time in prayer that I should have to know with absolute certainty that I should do/say or not do/say this or that. So, as Saturday unfolds for you wherever you are or whatever you are doing, take time to reflect on the example Jesus set before us as it relates to prayer whether it be alone, in quiet, in a crowd, sitting, standing, lying down, or with many tears. He longs to hear from and spend time with you. Please pray for me and I will be praying for all who read and share these random thoughts. Love and blessings.
