SPIRIT MEAT!!! WEDNESDAY, 5TH MARCH, 2014 HOW GOD MAKES HIS CHILDREN THE FOCUS FOR ATTENTION (2) GENESIS 41:1-16 We established yesterday that when God wants to make you the focus of attention, He will make people to have problem in the area where He has given you grace and gifting. You only need to make sure that you prepare yourself properly for the time of your appearing. When your time comes, it is what you have done that will be needed. When Esther’s time came, the king was not looking for someone with the gift of healing or anyone who could interpret dreams. Instead the king was in need of a beautiful wife and God had given her that beauty. Esther was a slave and she would normally be unable to have access to the king but the truth is that when God is working for you, what disqualifies you becomes irrelevant. What men say is your disqualification becomes what God uses to qualify you. God allows a problem to come that everything that is working for the people cannot solve the problem at hand. You need to take not of this truth and keep preparing yourself for your time. Too many Christians are chasing other things that are wasting their peculiar gifts instead of taking time to develop themselves in the area of gifting that God has reserved their greatness. When the time comes for God to shine the spotlight on you, your gift is what everybody will be looking for. Make sure that when that time comes, the world will meet that gift in perfect condition. What would have happened if Joseph had lost the gift of interpretation of dreams when pharaoh sent for him. Don’t let any day go without you developing and sharpening the gift that God has given you because your world will soon need it. Don’t be like the fool whose eyes are always at the end of the earth. You will always be the head in the area of your gifting if you pay attention to it in secret. Prayer: Lord, I see that you have reserved my greatness in the gift you gave me. I pledge to keep developing myself so that when my world needs me, I will not disappoint them in Jesus’ name, amen. Bible in a year: Numbers 4:1-5:31, Mark 12:18-37, Psalm 48:1-14, Proverbs 10:26
