SPLM in Opposition concludes Diplomatic Tour in Uganda August 21th, 2014 (Kampala) -The Sudan People Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO) delegation lead by the Deputy Chairperson General Alfred Ladu Gore concluded their diplomatic tour in Uganda on Thursday. The delegation arrives in Uganda on Monday from Addis-Ababa and will be going soon within the week. The tour was initiative of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) that endorsed the Leadership of the Opposition to move to the IGAD Countries like Uganda, Kenya, Sudan, and Djibouti and South Africa respectively. In a Press briefing on Thursday in Kampala, General Alfred Ladu Gore said, the Government of the Republic of Uganda have welcome his delegation in a good mood where they were received in a way he (Gore) described as Red carpet. He assures the Media that, their discussions with the President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was based on the security issue, withdraw of the Uganda troops from South Sudan and the opening of the SPLM-IO office in Uganda where there will be Chapter Chairperson that will be appoint by the Leader of the Opposition and other secretariats like SPLM Youth League office that will address the needs of the South Sudanese Community in Uganda. Gore said Uganda is now becoming the strong hold of the SPLM in Opposition ,the President Kiir which he term as the Tyranny leader globally will not have a say in Uganda any more, Gore said. He as well lamented that, the backbone of Kiir is broken now and therefore, the only option is for Kiir to step down peacefully or face the resistant militarily. Gore further stated that, he (Gore) and his delegation have reached to the concrete agreement with the Uganda Authority. He said the twenty thousand (20,000) civilians that were killed in Juba on the 15th, 16th and 17th of December 2013 will call Kiir Mayardit very soon in the Mass graves they were buried in. He said International Criminal Court (ICC) is waiting for President Kiir even though he dies, his bones can be collect for investigation in The Hague so that, no South Sudanese Leader will do the same thing again like what Kiir did in Juba last year. Meanwhile Dr Dhieu Mathok the SPLM in Opposition Chairperson of the External Relations said, their coming to Uganda is the blessing to the South Sudanese. He mentions to Nyamilepedia Editorial Team in Uganda, the Humanitarian issues were discussed between Uganda Government and the SPLM delegation. He as well said, the root cause to the conflict was their main issue that they have discussed with the President of Uganda, his Excellency Museveni.
