SPONSORED WALK COOLMINE-MAYNOOTH ALONG ROYAL CANAL In memory of our esteemed colleague and friend Councillor Peggy Hamill (RIP) the members of the Labour Party Dublin West are organising a sponsored walk along the Royal Canal in aid of St Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown. Sunday 26th October, 10.30am at Coolmine Station. This is a fitting tribute to Peggy as she was an avid walker and enjoyed many walks along the canal. She was also very involved in St Francis Hospice and would have been one of the earlier supporters of bringing the Hospice to Blanchardstown. We hope you can join us and raise much needed money for St Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown. The new hospice facility in Blanchardstown serves the community of Dublin 15 – it currently provides day care 2 days a week and home care. It has a facility to provide 24 inpatient beds and 12 of these have recently been opened, with the other 12 planned to open next year. We propose to meet at 10.30am at Coolmine Railway Station and walk along the canal from Coolmine to Maynooth. We will have some refreshments in Maynooth and get the train home or for those who are inclined they can walk back. We are suggesting a minimum sponsorship of €20/person. Please go to mycharity.ie/event/canal_walk if you wish to donate on line. Hopefully see many of you there on the 26th. Mary McCamley (cllr) marymccamley@gmail 0876501441
