SPORTS: For the first time I can remember, the Giants have made competitive offers and serious efforts to land virtually EVERY highly regarded player on the market (either via FA or trade). However, they havent gotten any of them. I wonder if this is them being hardline about value (which I actually appreciate), being unlucky, or a smoke and mirrors appeasement of the fanbase to say hey we tried, knowing damn well they just barely undershot each deal? As of now, they are still in on Scherzer, Shields, Upton, Headley, etc (but seemingly juuuuuuust not offering enough, again).
