SPYC sailors showed a strong presence at the Laser North Americans in Kingston, Ontario. After four days of racing Liam McCarthy finished the event in 4th place in the Radial Gold fleet. Liam was the 1st youth sailor and the 1st male in the event! Nic Baird finished just being Liam in 9th place in the Radial Gold fleet. Ty Baird finished 19th in the Radial Silver fleet and Emily Wright finished 4th overall in the 4.7 Fleet. In addition, SPYC Opti Sailor Heather Kerns competed in the USODA Great Lakes Championship. After two days of windy and wavy conditions; Heather finished 1st place in white fleet, was the top female sailor and finished 10th overall. Heather also requalified herself for Team Trials in the spring. Awesome sailing SPYC sailors!
