PETER’S COUNCIL # 12319: On behalf of the Knights of Columbus, St. Peter’s Council # 12319 I wish to extend my prayerful thanks and gratitude to members and guests who attended the 15th Anniversary celebration of the council held at St. Peter’s church’s hall last Saturday, November 9, 2013. The same goes to members who were not able to come due to family and/or work related circumstances. Congratulations to everyone because our council received commendations and awards from the Manitoba State Deputy and District Deputy for our works to church and community. Please know also that we are part of the joint New Year celebration (Dinner & Dance) which will be held at St. Peter’s church hall on December 31. Ticket cost is only $25.00. Excess money generated will go towards Building A New Church. Let’s invite families and friends to join the New Year celebration. Kindly call me (Amado Mendoza, 632-8053) for tickets and/or more information. Thank you. VIVAT JESUS. CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE will again be collecting items for the needy for Christmas. Donations of non perishable food; toys; toiletry items; socks; hats; mitts; gloves; and clothing for men, women & children will be welcomed by Chez Nous Drop In and Alpha House (5 moms & 12 children) and new baby items for Villa Rosa and Pregnancy Services. Items can be dropped in our display box in the foyer. Slightly used items are also welcome. If further information is required call Donna @ 204-633-1343. Catholic Women’s League members and guests will be holding their Holiday Gathering Party on Tuesday Dec 3rd at 5pm in the parish hall. Cost $10.00 and donations for our needy. You can visit our new website at The previously announced that starting November this year, the Mass on every 3rd Wednesday of the month will be at 6:30 PM, is cancelled. Masses on Wednesdays will still be the same as before at 7:00 PM. Catechism Masses every 3rd Wednesdays of the month will be at 6:00 PM. SUNDAY MISSALS (2014) are now available for sale in the foyer at $ 5.00 each. THANK YOU to all those who donated their PENNIES AND EMPTY CANS. For this year we have deposited $2,158.55.00 of the pennies you donated, and $ 871.90 for the pop cans you brought in the church. Thank you very much and please continue bringing your pop cans and pennies. WORSHIP COMMITTEE is looking for more EMCEES as well as USHERS.
