STAND BACK ... Im about to COMMUNICATE!! Im SO ANNOYED!!!! I just found out that a STELLAR Akita, whom we placed a last resort on at HSPPR, was KILLED on 6/10 at/by HSPPR. The day after his IRRESPONSIBLE owners released him back to HSPPR for EU because THEY were homeless FLAKES. (Can you tell Im MAD!!) Bubba-Louie would go to a certain persons home when they were homeless because he felt SAFE ... the last time, the owners went in to these peoples HOME at 4:30A and TOOK Bubba-Louie. He didnt want to leave with them. Searching the homeless camps in Colorado Springs bore no fruit. Couldnt find them or Bubba-Louie. Not just ANY Akita ... he was used at HSPPR as a HELPER DOG because he was SO MELLOW!! When he was adopted to these people, I dont know what kind of background check was performed, but Bubba-Louie was picked up FOUR TIMES as a stray in less than a year. BOO!!! Bubba Louie had a HOME to go to where he could spend the rest of his days in COMFORT and SECURITY. At 9-yrs old, he DESERVED a gracious retirement. HSPPR *knew* this - it was in his file that we would take him. One of our Colorado volunteers, Roxanne Green, went in on behalf of Mariahs Promise Animal Sanctuary that we would find a HOME for Bubba-Louie and the woman was relieved because Bubba was a shelter favorite and we really dont want to put him down. Really ... Well, hes dead now. Bubba-Louie is dog #2 they CHOSE to kill v. release to a qualified, responsible last resort option. WTH!!! (Note to any fans of HSPPR ... dont, just dont defend them to me right now. TY)
